Boom is the granddaddy of Europe's psytrance-and-consciousness gatherings, thrown on the shores of a lake in rural Portugal every other year since 1997. Expect a sprawling temple-like Liminal Village for talks and healing work, an enormous dawn-till-dusk dancefloor, and a community that treats sustainability and psychedelic culture as inseparable. Boom takes a full year off between editions - the next full festival lands in 2027 for its 30th anniversary, with a smaller wellness-focused 'Being Gathering' filling the gap in 2026.
